Current Beauty Favourites

I honestly don’t know what’s been wrong with me recently. Well I do I spend my weekends drunk and on Sundays when I used to blog I’m too hungover to function. So blogging has taken a back seat. However recently I feel like my passion for it is coming back and my love for beauty and skincare is growing. So I thought the perfect way to kick start my new blogging era would be with my current beauty favourites.

As we all know eyebrows have become a huge part of everyone's make up routine over the past few years and it seems that every beauty company are trying to come out with the next innovative brow product.

Get ready with Rimmel

Happy New Year Everyone! Hope you have all had a great time over the festive period.  The best part about this time of year is being able to try out all kinds of make up looks. For me the glittery and sparklier (if thats even a word haha) the better.

Rimmel is the only one

Ive never really had a great deal of what people term "blogger mail" before so the fact that Rimmel, yes Rimmel, i cant quite believe it myself, sent me two packages within the space of 3 weeks is just overwhelming. Thank you so much to the team for giving me the opportunity to try your amazing products.

Anyway enough rambling, onto the lipsticks. Rimmel have been killing it with their new releases recently. Their latest is there Only 1 matte lipsticks. I have to say im not a huge fan of matte liquid lipsticks, they make my lips feel and look awful and cracked, but these are the opposite of that.
They are so creamy when you apply them and it feels like you are wearing a cream lipstick rather than a matte, however when you look in the mirror it does dry matte and looks so good! Even on me! The colour range is so wide to, although it only has 9 shades there is one in there for everyone. Whether your a red lip gal, or prefer a pop of pink every shade is covered, even purple! Each shade is super pigmented and stays on for so long. I tested the shade Run the Show as i know a darker shade can come off alot quicker. However i wore this all day on Sunday and it only needed a little bit of touching up on the insides of my lips after i had eaten. And when you reapply it, it doesn't cake or create that awful 2 layer look that alot of matte lipsticks can do. My favouite part of these lipsticks is the smell! They smell so fruity! When you apply them the smell isnt too sickly its just a nice subtle smell to apply on to your lips. I thought i would show you how a few shades look on the lips.
The first is an original red called Take the Stage, the pigment is gorgeous and its the perfect shade for me on a night out.
Number two is a the perfect pinky nude called Salute, this is the shade i love to wear to work or on a night out with a really bold eye make up look.
Finally i thought i would show you this striking purple shade. I know its not to everyone's taste but i love purple lipstick! This one is called Run the show and i have to say is one of the best purple lipsticks i have used. Its not too in your face but definitely makes a statement, i love it!
Whats your favourite shade?
Hope you enjoyed this post leave me your thoughts below.

A good ol' beauty haul

As fellow bloggers we are all familiar with the term "spending ban". I never try and attempt them as it just tempts me to buy so much more.
However over the last 2 months I have made a conscious effort to not look online so much, and with starting my new job I have managed not to buy any make up related items in over 7 weeks! So when it came time to take a trip to Manchester last week I couldn't wait to splurge on some new make up. So I thought I would share what I got with you all. I love the Revlon foundation and concealer, they do so many colour shades and a range for all different skin types. This is perfect for my skin type and with the concealer it makes for a really flawless base.
As most of you know TheBalm is one of my favourite make up brands and i bloody love their packaging! This bronzer was too cute to not buy and the pigmentation of it, just like all their products is incredible!
Micellar water is all i ever use to take my make up off now and when it was on offer for just £1 i had to get another one! Then the final and most exciting product for me was this eyeshadow palette.
I bought this tin for £6 and then decided to create an autumnal palette, so i thought these two shades were perfect. Im looking to build up my matte collection and i thought these were the best two colours to start with. I've heard the Make up for ever products are meant to be really high quality so I can't wait to start using these!

Scandal Eyes Reloaded

Well I'm sure as most of you have seen a lot of Youtubers have recently been sent lots of Rimmel goodies. And OMG who would have thought little old me would have gotten something! I received an email about a month ago saying they liked my work and would like to add me to their mailing list and I almost fainted I couldn't believe it!!

But I was even more shocked when I actually received these beauties in the post! It came with this super cute note and I already know how amazing the scandal eyes mascara is. Im so sorry this photo is such awful quality my camera situation is so rubbish at the moment but i wanted to show you guys what i got.
Anyway I was so excited to hear that Rimmel were bringing out a reloaded and extra black version. So I thought I would try this one out and show you all how amazing it is! I love how the brush is so thick that it can reach every lash and add so much volume to both the upper and lower lashes. I mean look at the difference!!
It makes them extra black and super thick! As you all know Rimmel is such an affordable brand and the quality if this mascara is just incredible, it really does give you scandalous lashes!

Bourjois bounce back

Ever since ive worn make up, on countless occasions Bourjois have dissapointed me. I have found that a lot of their products dont do what they say on the bottle and have a really cheap quality to them.

Cult Beauty Products, Yay or Nay?

I am an avid YouTube and blog reader and i love hearing what others think about make up, it helps me decide whether or not to take the plunge and buy it. When it comes to high end beauty purchases i tend to take a long time deciding whether i need it or its worth adding to my collection. Most of the time i dont need it but i get it anyway because i want to see if its worth the hype.

Nude' tude Palette

I thought Urban Decay were the king of pigmented eye shadows but i have to say the Balm are really giving them a run for their money and on top of that their packaging is just incredible. I decided i wanted a new eye shadow palette because, come on a girl can never have too many!

Roller Lash

The beauty and curse of being involved in blogging is that it exposes you to great products that you feel you need to buy! So one of the products that has been recommended to me mulitple times is the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara.

Sun Drops

The feeling of being tanned is one of the best, the glow and confidence it can give you is priceless. So when it comes to this time of year and we are all a little bit pasty from the winter months, fake tan becomes something we look into to give ourselves that glow.
