Federal Cafe

One of my favourite things to do is hunt out new places in Manchester`s Northern Quarter and this is one of the best ive found so far. Federal Cafe is just opposite the Arndale Food Market on the outskirts of the Northern Quarter, pretty much next to another of my other favourite places, Infamous Diner.

Me and my mum were getting hungry and i had decided to try somewhere new that wasn`t too far from the centre, so we thought this was perfect. The cafe itself is quite small, we had to wait about 15 minutes for a seat but its worth the wait. The menu selection is small but so varied it was hard to pick! I eventually decided on the Halloumi & Shrooms dish and my mum had en egg white omelette and how yummy do they look?!
My mums looked like a pizza and she said it was super filling.
Mine was 2 runny poached eggs, the juiciest mushrooms, a tomato relish, 3 huge slices of halloumi (which i love i could eat so much of that stuff) and all on top of two slices of crispy sourdough bread. I was in heaven, it was such a nice combination i had never tried before and was such a filling lunch, great value for money. The service was fantastic they were always attending to our needs and the speed the food came out was just right. I was so full i couldn't try anything else but Emily's Banana Bread, that i saw as i walked in looked so yummy.
I also saw someone eating the french toast and oh my goodness that looked so good, next time i go i will definitely be trying that!
I highly recommend this place if you are ever on Manchester and want a really chilled out tasty lunch with great service and its the perfect location! I will definitely be going back again!

Have you ever been to Federal Cafe? What did you think?

Hope you enjoyed, leave me your thoughts below.
