The Main day

1st August 2015 will be a day I will never forget. My mum and fiancée( he's pretty much my dad) finally got married and my mum became Lisa Main. I've never had such an amazing day the whole thing felt like a dream.

We began the day at the hairdressers, Bryn Daniels. Both my mum and I used Truly Madly Deeply Bridal Boutique accessories in our hair, I had a silver diamanté slide in grip which held all my curls to one side and matched perfect with the silver clasp on my dress.
My mum wore a jewel and pearl encrusted headband and without those pieces our hair just wouldn't have been the same!
Then the rush set in as we got our make up done by our amazing mobile beauty therapist, Kirsty. I had a teal smoky eye with a soft pink lip, whilst my mum had a softer eye and bolder lip.
She also had a unique design on her toenails, claret red with diamanté spelling I do on them! They were so cute!
My mums dress was out of this world the back detailing was just enough on its own! My mums dress was from Blush Boutique in Uppermill and the service we received was outstanding (they even gave my mum a cheeky discount because they knew each other from school!). My dress was from a little shop called La Fleur in Middleton. It's both a florist and bridal shop and the selections of gowns in there is endless, any colour or style can be found! This shade of teal is my favourite and I loved the fit as it complimented my lack of breasts! I paired it with my a pair sparkly silver shoes from Debenhams and I had to add a little bit of me to the outfit! So to match my shoes I bought a silver metallic, fringe clutch bag. I wore this with my matching Truly Madly Deeply Bridal boutique silver hand necklace and earrings, they really set the dress off, I would like to mention how amazing all of Truly Madly Deeply Bridals jewellery and accessories are, our outfits wouldn't have come together as well without them and I would really recommend them to any future bridal parties out there.
We then traveled in style to the wedding venue in a 1935 Rolls Royces.
The wedding was held at a large marquee at the Village Hotel in Ashton and the set up was stunning.
However the star of the show had to be the cake! My mum and now husband love to crown green bowl so they're cake was based on their local  Springhead Libs bowling club. And what a cake it was, it even had all the 3 of us in cake form on the top! It was all created by a lovely lady called June and what a job she did!
We sat down for a 3 course meal of tomato soup, chicken in a mushroom sauce with duchess potatoes and carrots and finished off with the most delicious Normandy Apple flan, but I'm sorry I was so hungry I only took a picture of the main course!
The photo booth was also a great addition to the night, every guest could take a picture with any kind of wacky prop. Then we got to keep a copy and everyone could sign the book with a message for the bride and groom. It's a fantastic keepsake for us and it gave us a good old chuckle!
The evening was filled with love, laughter and I can honestly say it's a day I will never forget!
Hope you enjoyed reading it and I'm so grateful to those who've taken the time to read this post in particular as it was a very special day for me. I would really appreciate your thoughts. Thank you!
